Brotivities

My name is Ryan Scheidemantel and this is my blog. I started it with the intention of posting writings from a project I started three years ago called 'Brotivities: Activities for Bros.' and I will continue to post them as I write them. However, I wanted to expand on what this blog is about so I've decided to add other thoughts, photos, links, and writings to it.

  • Another installment from the people of Walmart website. I won’t lie, I have gone to the video game section at various Walmarts and Targets and played these little games from time to time, but I’ve never gotten on my knees to play a video game that’s either dedication to the game. Or it’s just plain weird.
I’m gonna call it weird.
Also, I would like to draw your attention to the girl in the back left of the photo. There are 2 things going on with this child that you may not notice at first glance.
She is not staring at the man on his knees as a whole, but rather she is strictly focused on his weak attempt to cover the bald spot on his head by growing out a nice, voluminous mane to divert the eyes of on-lookers. She isn’t buying it.
The second thing is her complete disregard of the cleanliness of Walmart products. Notice how she is dragging the item in her left hand on the ground like it’s some kind dirty rag. What if she doesn’t buy said item? Am I supposed to feel okay with knowing that some child might have taken the item that I want to purchase and wiped it along the grimy floors of my neighborhood Walmart? I think not.
Finally, look at the girl all the way in the back. What is she looking at? I assume that she is also playing a video game but is her screen on the ceiling? That girl is about to have some neck problems for sure if she continues to look up there.
And that was my over-analyzation of this photo.
